Tuesday, June 28 - Farewell, Ciao, Adieu: This has been a difficult decision, but the right one for me at just the right time. It has been a joy and a privilege to serve Saint Anthony Parish and all of its’ parishioners, and I leave with mixed emotions. May God bless each one of you as you have blessed me with ten years of acceptance, kind words, patience, generosity and love. YOU are the part of the job that I will miss the most. As always, I will keep you in my prayers and hold you in my heart. Sincerely, Joanne

Thursday, May 12 - Check out our new bulletin box! It was hand-crafted using wood from the old pews in our church. We think you will find it much nicer to look at and far easier to use. Our sincere thanks to a long-time parishioner for sharing his time and talent!

Thursday, April 21 - At the Easter Vigil Mass our two R.C.I.A. candidates, Edith Fogarty and Christine Richard made a Profession of Faith and Reception into the Full Communion of the Catholic Church. Edith and Christine received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
We recognize their months of study and preparation, and we congratulate them with the hope and prayers that they will be blessed with a life overflowing in faith.
We take this opportunity to thank the members of our R.C.I.A. team who instructed, educated and guided these women to the beginning of their new life in the Catholic Church.

Thursday, April 14 - Ukraine: Saint Anthony Parish is truly blessed to have so many generous, caring folks who continue to support us with their donations. Special thanks for those who were able to support relief efforts in Ukraine through your generous contributions of $3,674.00. Thursday, March 17: Congratulations to Christopher Noble, a parishioner of Saint Anthony Parish and a candidate for ordination to the Permanent Diaconate for the Diocese of Burlington. Chris, along with six other candidates, will be installed as acolytes by Bishop Christopher Coyne on Sunday, March 20th, at the 10:00 a.m. Mass at The Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Burlington. The ministry of acolyte is a permanent office and ministry overseen by the bishop. It is one of the ministries a candidate receives before ordination to the Diaconate. Those given the ministry of acolyte are entrusted with the responsibility of assisting priests and deacons in their ministry, and as special ministers to give holy communion to the faithful at the liturgy and to the sick. Candidates for the diaconate are installed as lectors and acolytes and serve at their parishes in these ministries as preparation for holy orders. At the same time, other men and women also perform some of these roles in parishes, not as a preparation for additional roles of leadership and service in the church, but for the benefit of their parish communities and their worship of God. Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate for this group of candidates is scheduled for October 8, 2022. Please keep Chris and the other candidates in your prayers as they continue their preparation.

Thursday, July 1 - From Bishop Coyne:
The obligation to attend Sunday Mass is reinstated as of July 4, 2021. However, as has always been the case, there are times and circumstances when one cannot be present for Sunday Mass: injury, ill-health, mobility issues, age, and now personal safety issues that are still present due to Covid 19. Children who have not been vaccinated, people whose health is compromised so that they have to avoid any risk of contagion as well as their caregivers, may in freedom choose not to attend Sunday Mass.
Thursday, June 17 - From Bishop Coyne: Churches may now return to full capacity with no need for physical distancing. The obligation to attend Mass continues to be lifted until further notice. In keeping with CDC and local guidelines, the Diocese of Burlington has lifted the mask requirement in our churches for those fully vaccinated. We encourage continuation of face coverings for those that are unvaccinated, at risk, or feel uncomfortable. If you are sick or not feeling well, do not come in.
Communion of the faithful will be under the species of bread alone. Physical contact during the Sign of Peace is discouraged between people of different households. As we move past the pandemic, please be aware that some people may still choose to greet you at the Sign of Peace simply with a nod of the head or a smile.
Friday, May 28 - Please Be Aware: We remind you that some individuals have asthma or other respiratory conditions, or are highly sensitive to numerous scents. With this in mind, we ask you to please minimize the fragrances that you use. Thank you for your cooperation!

We appreciate it if you would notify the parish office if you suspect something is amiss. If you have any question as to the legitimacy of any request from father, please call Fr.
